THIRTY-NINE MONTE CARLO – AN EXCLUSIVE PRIVATE MEMBERS CLUB

Welcome to Thirty-Nine Monte Carlo, Monaco’s most exclusive private members’ club. An experience in ultimate luxury, Thirty-Nine is paradoxically a serene and social atmosphere. Allotting its members’ total privacy, the club is designed to be an extension of one’s home. Designed to stimulate and soothe the senses, Thirty-Nine facilitates a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Throughout three floors of social and intimate spaces, the unashamedly luxurious furnishings perfectly reflect the elegance and heritage of the club’s iconic location, 39 Avenue Princesse Grace, Monaco.

Club 39 offers its members more than simply services, it inspires a lifestyle focused on health and beauty; a unique concept born out of the vision of Scottish ex-Rugby International and Monaco resident Ross Beattie. His elite professional sportsman history forms the backbone of 39. Ross’ philosophy for 39 was to create an ideal environment for its members to practice fitness and to nourish their bodies in a way that achieves optimum results and improves the quality of life. Attention to detail runs throughout the club in order to achieve this balance. Each space of the club, from the interior design as a whole, to the high tech fitness equipment on the sports floor, the art curated to both please and providing a thought-provoking experience for the viewer, the delicious and balanced menu at 39 Dining, and the world-class beauty services at the 39 Beauty Salon, is meticulously designed for the supreme comfort of its’ members. There is also a private study room which can be hired for meetings, events or private dinner.

39 has one rule: “Every single person who comes through the door is treated the same way”, says Beattie. The result is that you find yourself training alongside club members who are sports professionals such as Novak Djokovic, Paula Radcliffe and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The gym facilities include a Pilates studio, high-altitude hypoxic training room. Each member has access to high-tech sports equipment, 39’s team of experts, while personal training from expert coaches is available.

The water at 39 is unique. It goes through a filtration system which changes the PH level according to which room it gets distributed. Ionic water has been proven to be the best water for sports performance due to its higher mineral content which aids muscle growth and repair.

Because 39 is not only a fitness club, the social aspect nurtured. “I wanted to create a community and a place where people can socialise. The wonderful atmosphere is really down to the staff and the members who are very relaxed which means people can be themselves and switch off,” says Beattie. The restaurant downstairs is where most of the socialising take place. Members can eat, drink and relax. The Flavour Behaviour menu – a mix of dishes both delicious and nutritious – is devised by the talented Kiwi chef David Knapp, a top chef who has worked for Gordon Ramsay and Gary Rhodes.

In the Flavour Behaviour menu, Chef David explores delicious and healthy combinations of seasonal ingredients. A real gem in the Monaco culinary scene, David offers a fresh outlook on classic dishes such as chicken, this time with purple potatoes, silverbeet and a garlic sauce with lavender. The Scottish fillet comes with a sweetcorn puree, apple salsa and beef jus. A rich assortment of sides consists of several dishes including figs, kale, almonds, mint with lemon and orange zest as well as sweet potatoes, green beans, wild rocket and sunflower.

A wellbeing club wouldn’t be one without a spa and hair salon and 39 offers both to members and non-members. The 39 Beauty Salon offers innovative cutting, styling, colouring and intensive hair treatments using carefully selected brands. The Spa at 39 topped over 100 other institutions to receive the Biologique Award of Excellence in 2018 for their work promoting the use of Biologique Recherche products in all their treatments. Known as the “Hermès of Skincare”, Biologique Recherche is a French brand founded by a trio of medical practitioners over 40 years ago in Paris. This clinical approach to skincare is ideal for clients who want to nourish their skin with products that are fragrance-free and contain natural, concentrated and active raw ingredients, formulated to give powerful and effective results. Spa professionals carefully select products tailored to each client’s skin type through a personal dermo-cosmetic diagnosis.
