INSPIRED MARKETING & MINDSET COACHING WITH JUANITA VIALE

For the last 5 years, Juanita Viale has been guiding entrepreneurs and companies to thrive on the French Riviera and Monaco through her inspired marketing and mindset coaching consultancy.

After years of living on the Cote d’Azur, she noticed certain tendencies about the way entrepreneurs were performing or underperforming. What she observed was that here on the Cote d’Azur and in Monaco, entrepreneurs have a tendency to isolate and limit themselves because of the show of glitz and glamour known to this area.

Juanita explains, “Either they oversell themselves in egoic fashion or undersell themselves by shying away from being seen. And because of it, their business suffers and so do they.”

Juanita considers herself a professional listener. Her honed listening skills from years of conducting endless interviews for her newspaper in Costa Rica has given her the edge to identify her clients’ limiting beliefs around their business so that they can craft a new authentic story based on who they really are and what they want to achieve with their business.

She explains, “Common struggles based on old beliefs about yourself and/or bad decisions you’ve taken in the past not only affects your current business decisions but also affects your health as well, which can produce overwhelm, burnout or illness. I help my clients walk through their challenges such as perfectionism, risk-taking, micromanagement and disempowering financial limiting beliefs so that everything they are communicating is based on their purpose rather than their fear. I am a firm believer in communication for connection. The way we talk to ourselves and others is a direct reflection of our internal mental landscape and energy.”

Earlier this year, Juanita co-authored a bestselling book along with 22 global wellness experts, ONE Wellness Guide to Mind, Body & Soul. To no surprise, the title of her chapter was Communication for Connection.

Originally a native Californian from Los Angeles and San Diego, Juanita Viale has spent the last 23 years from the infancy stage of the original dotcom boom in San Francisco to the jungles of Costa Rica, then across the Atlantic to the scenic Mediterranean coast of the French Riviera.

After finishing her degree in Food Science & Nutrition from San Diego State University, she went north of San Francisco to wine country in Sonoma Valley where she worked alongside some of the bay area’s best vegetarian and vegan chefs to create products for Amy’s Kitchen, a vegetarian & vegan food company in Santa Rosa.

Two years later she shifted gears and rode the original dotcom wave at a Stanford funded tech startup as a content writer. A year after she decided it was time to honour her adventurous spirit by moving to Playa Tamarindo, a small sleepy fishing village in the pacific northwest of Costa Rica renown for surfing as the classic surf film Endless Summer was first filmed there. A true entrepreneur at heart she created a tour company taking like-minded adventurers to secret surf spots and undiscovered natural areas that required 4×4 access. Her motto was “The funniest places to go are always the ones where the tour buses can’t go.”

Shortly after the 2008 financial crisis which affected the tourism market in Costa Rica, she decided to create and publish the first bilingual newspaper in Tamarindo. The Tamarindo News ran for 17 years and was recognized by the Casa Presidential of Costa Rica as one of the nation’s bilingual publications.

With a passion for preserving nature and community responsibility in hand, she led the Blue Flag environmental program for Playa Tamarindo and recuperated the coveted flag that was lost the previous year, and led the community to receive it again the following year.

Although France was not on her agenda as Costa Rica was her true home, she moved to France in a medical emergency for her second daughter Taylor whose traumatic birth rendered her severely disabled.

After a few years living in France, she went back to work and co-founded a new-build real estate company iNeuf.com and served as the international marketing manager for Nice Properties. With a stronghold in real estate marketing, she also served as Monaco’s Riviera Radio real estate correspondent for the yearly MIPIM world-class property investment show in Cannes.

So what is Juanita’s recipe for successful marketing?

For her, the tenets of great marketing reside in the adventure of having new conversations that require new ideas and a willingness to explore them.
