Founded in 1992 by Martine Vaccarezza, Mado Petit, Thérèse Mencaraglia and Philippe Ballério, under the Honorary Presidency of H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, the Association Ecoute Cancer Réconfort has remained steadfast in its mission:

“To provide help and comfort to individuals who have suffered or are suffering from cancer, using the most adapted and appropriate measures.”

For over three decades, the association has been dedicated to improving the quality of life of cancer patients and their loved ones through a variety of initiatives:

Listening and Support at the Princess Grace Hospital:
A team of dedicated volunteers visits patients in the day hospital, offering a compassionate ear and much-needed moral support.

A Warm Community Life at “L’Espace Mieux-Etre”:
Since 2009, the association has operated this welcoming community centre, designed exclusively for the well-being of cancer sufferers. It provides a safe space where individuals can meet, share experiences, and participate in a wide range of activities aimed at helping them regain energy, cope with the disease, and break free from isolation.
While the centre does not offer medical treatments, it provides invaluable services such as socio-aesthetic care, nutritional guidance, a relaxation area, pilates, yoga and social support…

Activities and Outings:
The association organizes countryside walks and other outings, giving participants an opportunity to unwind and reconnect with nature. Additionally, regular events and information sessions are held to raise awareness and combat cancer, often open to the general public.

Through these efforts, Ecoute Cancer Réconfort continues to bring hope, comfort and vital support to all those impacted by cancer, reinforcing the importance of community, compassion and human connection in the healing journey.

"We only achieve great things in life by giving back and our annual gala is organised to appreciate the best things in life whilst offering attendees the chance to donate to worthy, local and life-changing charities. It’s a tough time for everyone around the world, and we’re grouping together to do something really positive, it’s fantastic!"
