Georgia Kouvela-Piquet: Founder & President of the Hellenic-French Academy of Cultural Diplomacy

Georgia Kouvela-Piquet: Founder & President of the Hellenic-French Academy of Cultural Diplomacy

The Lady of Hellenism, Justice and Cultural Diplomacy in France

In a world that is transforming rapidly, the need for bridge-building individuals is more urgent than ever. Georgia Kouvela-Piquet, a successful lawyer with an international presence, is a modern woman of the Greek diaspora who has transformed her legal background into a tool of Cultural Diplomacy. Based in Paris but with Greece always in her heart, she moves seamlessly between courtrooms, university lecture halls, and Europe’s great cultural venues. Founder and President of the Hellenic-French Academy of Cultural Diplomacy in France, cultural liaison with prominent figures in European public life, and internationally awarded for her contributions to intercultural dialogue, Georgia embodies a new role for culture on the global stage—not as a luxury narrative, but as a tool for mutual understanding and peace. In the following interview, she speaks to us about her mission, the challenges of living a life between justice and culture, and how Greek identity can be expressed dynamically in today’s world.

Interview: Fotini Androulaki • Photography: Yannis Zindrilis, Open Studio WHITE IN BLUE • Make up artist: Maria Vogiatzi • Styling: Chris Andriopoulos - Brand:  Zeus + Dione

You’ve chosen to follow a dual path: on one hand, a top international lawyer; on the other, a passionate cultural ambassador. Was there a moment or experience in your life that pushed you to unite these seemingly different directions?

Professionally, I’ve had the opportunity to meet people involved in Cultural Diplomacy, expressed through diverse activities. During my legal studies, I lived in a country with a different cultural background. There, I witnessed how crucial legal support is in promoting cultural heritage and human dignity. That experience opened my eyes to how the two fields can complement each other. As a lawyer, I have the tools to understand and defend people’s rights, while cultural diplomacy allows me to promote understanding and solidarity among nations. I decided to merge these two paths to offer a more holistic approach to the challenges that communities face on an international level.

What was your vision for the Hellenic-French Academy of Cultural Diplomacy and how do you see it evolving within the European cultural landscape?

The Academy was designed with the vision of enhancing and promoting cultural dialogue between Greece and France. Its purpose is to serve as a cultural bridge, bringing together artists, academics, and communities. I see the Academy evolving dynamically within the European cultural scene, investing in partnerships that highlight Europe’s cultural heritage and values. Through exchange programmes, exhibitions, and conferences, I believe the Academy will help build a rich and multidimensional cultural landscape, fostering cooperation and mutual understanding among European nations.

In your legal role, you engage with some of the most influential figures of the French elite. How does this strong network benefit Greece’s cultural image abroad?

I firmly believe that all Greeks of the diaspora who live and thrive around the world must be proud ambassadors of our homeland. As a Greek of the diaspora, I feel this responsibility deeply. Strengthening ties with the French elite through my Greek and French professional activity brings multifaceted benefits to Greece’s cultural image abroad. A strong network allows Greece to showcase its rich cultural heritage, its arts, and its history on an international stage. Networking creates opportunities for strategic collaborations between countries and communities. We can promote initiatives focusing on Greek cultural events, artist and legal exchanges, and educational programs.

As a professional woman, mother, and cultural ambassador, how do you manage the tension between a demanding daily life and the need for reflection and creativity? Is there a “secret to balance”?

Balancing multiple roles in my life is a constant challenge. Over time, I’ve realized that self-organization and flexibility help me schedule my time in a way that, above all, includes the people I love. My “secret to balance” is the principle of prioritization—setting clear priorities—combined with exercise and meditation, which help me maintain focus and clarity. At the same time, the support of my family and colleagues is crucial, as it allows me to save time and energy so I can dedicate myself passionately to my creative pursuits.

The Greek diaspora plays a special role in preserving and projecting national identity. How do you perceive the concept of the “modern global Greek,” and where do you see your role in that context?

The Greek diaspora plays a pivotal role in preserving and promoting national identity. I see the “modern global Greek” as someone who combines a deep connection to Greek heritage and values with a global outlook. This is a person who incorporates elements of Greek cultural identity into contemporary life, while remaining open-minded and eager to collaborate with other cultures. In this context, my role is to promote that cultural heritage and Greek values abroad. Through participation in cultural events, collaborations, and initiatives, I aim to strengthen the voice of Greeks in the diaspora. I believe that promoting modern Hellenism is inherently linked to embracing and integrating it into a broader cultural framework—something that can be achieved through effective communication and support. The Greek diaspora has the potential to act as a cultural bridge, deepening the connection between Greeks abroad and their homeland, while also contributing to broader cultural and social interactions on a global scale.

You’ve worked with prominent figures in the arts and intellectual life—from Eleni Arveler to Mimi Denissi. What does the word “alliance” mean to you when it comes to cultural promotion?

For me, the word “alliance” in cultural promotion means building a strong network of collaborations between individuals and organizations who share common values and goals. Working alongside leading figures in science, the arts, and intellectual circles, I’ve seen firsthand how the power of the collective can greatly amplify our impact. Together, we can enhance the visibility of Greek scientists, thinkers, and artists, promote joint events, and achieve greater acceptance and recognition of Greece’s cultural heritage. Ultimately, alliances are essential to building a unified voice—one that speaks louder and has greater influence in promoting our culture on the international stage.

In a time when culture often takes a back seat to economic or technological priorities, what do you believe is its place today? Is it still a force for change, or merely a symbol of memory?

To ensure we don’t forget our history, we must hold on to symbols of memory. But we also need creation. Culture is a powerful force and a tool for promoting social change and solidarity. It strengthens communities and advances cultural heritage. In an era where economic and technological priorities emphasize development and innovation, culture still has the power to provide answers to social, political, and humanitarian issues. We need it as much as we need oxygen and sunlight. Culture embeds values and ideas that help us make sense of the world and invent new approaches. Through science, art, literature, theater, and other cultural expressions, artists and intellectuals foster dialogue and awareness, shaping social consciousness and encouraging critical thinking. Ultimately, when used effectively, culture is not just a look back at the past—it’s a dynamic force that can help shape a better present and future.

In closing, if we asked you to choose one Greek word that encapsulates your philosophy and your impact as a Greek of the diaspora, what would it be and why?

If I had to choose one Greek word that sums up my philosophy and impact as a Greek of the diaspora, it would be “synenosi”— unity and collaboration for the common good. In a time when differences and distances prevail, I believe our ability to bring together different cultures, ideas, and people is vital. This word also echoes my commitment to promoting Greek cultural identity while simultaneously integrating and exchanging experiences with other cultures. I’m convinced that only through unity can we build a stronger, more creative, and culturally richer global community—both for ourselves and for future generations.

Fight Aids Monaco is an association founded in 2004 by H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, who has long been committed to the fight against HIV/AIDS. Since its creation, Fight Aids Monaco has been actively supporting people living with HIV by providing them with listening, support, and guidance

The association’s work is based on three main pillars:

Local action in Monaco: welcoming and supporting people living with HIV, as well as carrying out prevention efforts through the organization of anonymous and free testing days for the general public.

International action: supporting solidarity projects in more vulnerable regions, notably in Madagascar, Mauritius, Burundi, and South Africa, to improve access to healthcare, prevention, and education.

The Maison de Vie in Carpentras: a unique place for temporary stays, designed as a restful retreat where people living with HIV can recharge in a peaceful setting, surrounded by a caring team.

The core mission of Fight Aids Monaco is to create a space of listening and kindness for all those affected. Providing them with support, a shoulder to lean on, and a bubble of well-being is at the heart of every commitment made by the association.

This mission is made possible thanks to the valuable involvement of donors, partners, and teams who embody the values of solidarity and respect that define the identity of Fight Aids Monaco.

And none of this would be possible without the spontaneous support of all those who participate in charity events, or simply show interest in the work carried out by Fight Aids Monaco.

And in many cases, these exceptional estates come with a fantastic bonus: a second passport or residency. Here’s a look at some of the most desirable real estate opportunities available through citizenship and residency by investment programs, offering not just an elite lifestyle but enhanced global mobility.

Whether it’s a private island in the Caribbean or a historic estate in Europe, CBI investors are securing more than just a passport—they’re acquiring the world’s most desirable boltholes.

For those considering investment migration, the question is no longer just where can I go but rather where can I escape in luxury?

Lemon Studio Design - The Details That Cost You the Right Clients

Lemon Studio Design - The Details That Cost You the Right Clients

We’ve entered an era where real wealth hides. Where serious people live offline and expect digital to either match their values or get out of the way.

The irony is, some of the wealthiest brands look the simplest. That’s not because they’re underdesigned, but because they’ve edited. They’ve removed anything that doesn’t serve the point. They’ve chosen words carefully. They’ve chosen not to explain it all. They know their audience doesn’t need convincing, they just need to feel that they’re in the right place.

Monaco brings together some of the most discerning people in the world. And with that comes a very particular challenge for any business hoping to earn their trust.

Across industries - from real estate to hospitality - many brands are still using visual languages that worked in another era, or for a different kind of customer. Their websites don’t reflect the people behind them. They reflect the agencies that made them. Which means: trend-heavy templates, generic claims, overused stock images. But the real issue isn’t really visual. It’s psychological.

When someone is used to operating in high-trust, high-discretion environments, they’re not looking to be dazzled. They’re paying attention to details that most teams don’t even consider. Tone. Tempo. The feeling they get three seconds into landing on your homepage. And that’s where the missed opportunity lives.

If it feels off, it probably is.

Many companies believe that design is something decorative. A layer added once everything else is in place. But for people who navigate the world through instinct, design is often the first and only impression that matters. When it’s misaligned, people may not say anything, they just don’t come back.

Strong design can’t make itself the center of attention, it must give people a sense that everything is intentional. That someone thought this through. That there is clarity, order, and taste - even if they can’t quite explain why it feels that way.

In my work, I’ve seen this pattern across cities and sectors. Businesses trying to compete at a high level without realizing their digital presence is working against them. Maybe not dramatically, but enough to make the right people hesitate. And often, that’s all it takes.

It’s rarely about needing a rebrand or a full reinvention. More often, it’s about making better decisions with what’s already there. Refining the language so it reflects how you actually think. Removing the elements that were added out of habit, not intention. Adjusting the pacing of your website so it doesn’t feel like it’s trying to sell something but instead invites a certain kind of person to stay longer.

Visual noise is a trust issue

The highest-value clients respond to signs of intelligence - not just in what a brand says, but in how it arranges things visually. And in places like Monaco, where perception is the real currency, design isn’t just a tool for communication - it’s a display of competence.

You might be sad to hear there’s no formula for this, no template. It’s slow work. It takes asking better questions, listening more carefully, and being willing to remove things that no longer serve you. But when it’s done well, something changes. The right people stay longer and the ones who were never meant for you disappear on their own.

That’s what a well-designed presence does. It filters. And what looks simple to the world is, in truth, a sign that every detail was given the attention it deserved.

Love Across Borders: Intercultural Couples Reveal Their Secrets To Connection

Love Across Borders: 3 Intercultural Couples Reveal Their Secrets To Connection

In a world of increased mobility and cultural exchange, more and more couples are forging relationships across borders. However, while falling in love may be universal, staying in love across languages, traditions, and societal expectations takes something more.

As a matchmaker working with international professionals across Europe, I’ve seen firsthand how challenging, yet beautiful, intercultural connection can be. That’s why I created Love Across Borders: a storytelling project that brings visibility to real couples navigating love between cultures.

Here’s what 3 of the inspiring couples I met have shared with me about why their love stories are not only beautiful, but built to last.

1. Shared values matter more than shared passports

Whether it was Gabriela and Rasmus blending Danish hygge with the Brazilian passion for football, or Dominique and Mengshi balancing South African openness with Taiwanese reserve, each couple stressed the importance of values over nationality. Humour, family, communication – when those align, culture becomes a bridge, not a barrier.

2. Communication takes practice

Niamh, an Irish expat in Berlin, told me how she and her German fiancé Nik overcame linguistic misunderstandings with patience and understanding. “We over-communicate,” she said. “It’s the only way to stay on the same page.” Whether you’re navigating emotions or trying to decode puzzling idioms, open and honest communication is crucial.

3. Curiosity is the secret ingredient

Instead of seeing differences as obstacles, the strongest couples view them as opportunities to learn. Dominique summed it up: “Adopt your partner’s culture with real interest. Learn their language, ask about their childhood, and stay curious.” That mindset is the key to growing as a couple.

Read the full inspiring and thought-provoking stories on the blog on our website. As we prepare to reopen submissions for Love Across Borders this autumn, we invite anyone who has found love across cultures to get in touch by email and share their story.

If you’re looking for that kind of meaningful connection yourself, book a free consultation with our professional matchmakers to learn more about how we help globally-minded singles find fulfilling relationships.

THE ULTIMATE IN LIVE ENTERTAINMENT - Alexandra Miller
“My full name is Alessandra though my English friends call me Alex. I live in the heart of the French Riviera, half Irish and half French from my Mum. They say the Irish is the twinkle in my eyes though I guess I got that from my Dad. I’ve been singing since I was 3 years old. My Mum & Dad always knew where to find me, sitting in front of the TV singing along with every show. The French Riviera is just great, my paradise. Swimming in the sea in the summer. Snowboarding in the winter. I am gigging around this part of France most of the year, from St Tropez to Monaco. Me and the boys get to play some amazing venues such as the Jazz Festival in Juan Le Pins & the Sporting Club in Monaco.

One of our favourites is the Bar American at the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo. This place has atmosphere big time. All the greats have sung on the stage from Sinatra to Lady Gaga and I can really feel the vibe when I am performing.”

NTL Trust - Seeking Europe Elsewhere - Panama City, Asunción & Montevideo

Europe, Elsewhere: Panama City, Asunción & Montevideo

South America’s Classiest Capitals for living well and investing wisely

We are all looking for travel destinations that are new and exciting, but when thinking of long-term living, locations that feel like home are on top of the list. A trio of cities is emerging for those seeking a place not so different from European feel: Panama City, Asunción, and Montevideo are proving that the best of continental living: vibrant culture, luxury markets, and timeless architecture can now be found much closer to the equator.

These capitals aren’t just beautiful places to live. They also offer residency by investment opportunities, thriving real estate markets, and a unique sense of home away from home in a shifting global landscape. Whether you’re looking to relocate, retire, or simply live well with options, these are destinations worth knowing.

Panama City: Latin America’s Manhattan with a Soul

A hub of finance, food, and forward-thinking infrastructure, Panama City is sleek and grounded all at once. With direct flights to Europe and North America, a stable US dollar economy, and a Friendly Nations Visa (including real estate options), Panama City is not only about good life, but also about good investment.

From ocean-view penthouses to historic Casco Viejo restorations, property here is in demand. Add low taxation, modern banking, and a top-ranked global expat experience, and you’ll see why Panama is one of the few places where urban energy meets private island calm where owning a home can be your path to permanent residency.

Asunción: South America’s Hidden Capital of Calm

Tucked along the Paraguay River, Asunción is a slow burn. It's quiet, understated, and yet full of opportunity. It’s also home to a very accessible permanent residency program, with clear, simple requirements and long-term value.

Real estate here is still priced well below the regional average, with colonial villas, new condominiums, and green developments offering room to grow. Investors appreciate the low entry points, light bureaucracy, and freedom to live (or rent out) without fuss. It is ideal for those seeking a strategic Plan B with a soft landing.

Montevideo: Europe Reimagined in the Southern Cone

If Paris and Lisbon had a quieter cousin with Atlantic views and more sunshine, it might be Montevideo. Uruguay’s capital offers refined architecture, a café culture, strong institutions, and some of the most secure property laws in the region. It’s also the safest country in South America, with a growing high-end market.

Beachfront property is up 12%, wine regions are booming, and Montevideo now boasts over 100 residential developments catering to discerning buyers. Better yet, Uruguay offers a clear path to residency and eventual citizenship, especially for those who choose to invest, settle, and stay a while. Live in a country that respects privacy, celebrates culture, and rewards long-term commitment.

European feel without the European hassle

For the modern global citizen, choosing where to live is just the beginning. In Panama City, Asunción, and Montevideo, you can easily achieve everything you value in Europe plus a whole new continent of culture, luxury and opportunities. NTL Trust can help you navigate your new life in South America as the options are many and you need the right advisor to help you find your perfect spot. It is essential to do residency process with the help of a licensed professional, and NTL Trust has on-ground experience and presence in all three capitals. Volta Magazine: From Shipping to Positive Psychology – A Journey of Self-Actualisation

Chryssanthi Sofrona-Kalogeropoulou - Master Positive Pshychology Coach / Mental Health Consultant
From Shipping to Positive Psychology – A Journey of Self-Actualisation

Chryssanthi Sofrona is a woman who dared to redefine her life. After 23 years of a successful career in the demanding field of shipping, as the head of legal and insurance departments for major companies in Piraeus and Cape Town, she decided to follow her true passion: Psychology. She began her studies and training in evidence-based Coaching, Applied Positive Psychology, and Coaching Psychology (MSc, UEL), Counseling Therapy, as well as in the Analytical method of Psychotherapy, proving that it is never too late for change and transformation. Her deep desire to contribute to others has always been present in her life. However, despite her successful professional path, it didn’t provide her with the fulfillment she was seeking. The intense work environment, long working hours, and the constant need to perform led her to a turning point. Instead of settling, she listened to the voice within and took the bold step. Her experience in the business world helps her deeply understand the challenges faced by high-demand individuals. As a Master Positive Psychology Coach, she illuminates paths, encourages transformation, and helps people find their own balance and meaning in life. The blue butterfly, a symbol of evolution and inner strength, is her personal symbol. Just like it, Chryssanthi went through stages of doubt, preparation, and ultimately transformation. Today, through her scientific knowledge and personal journey, she helps others overcome fears and limitations, guiding them towards self-actualization and true "well-being."

Chrysanthi, what does Coaching mean to you?

Evidence-based coaching is a scientifically supported and structured practice. My own approach is grounded in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology. Its aim is to help individuals grow holistically by clearly defining their vision across all areas of their lives…relationships, career, self-image, self-confidence, self-esteem, financial well-being—and to understand what truly matters to them. It encourages them to experience positive emotions, feel good about themselves, create practical steps, and overcome the obstacles that hold them back.

Is this what differentiates you from other Coaches?

Yes, because I have a deep understanding of the psychological mechanisms that govern human behavior. My training is not just a seminar-based certification; it is an academic foundation that allows me to provide meaningful support, not simple empowerment. My services are personalized, based on the client's needs, values, and personal motivations.

You have worked in the shipping industry. How did this experience help you become a more effective Coach?

Shipping is a world of high demands, competition, and constant challenges. I learned to manage crises and find solutions under pressure. This experience helped me better understand entrepreneurs and executives because I know firsthand the difficulties, they face in processing the leadership archetype. It also helped me become an effective Mentor for young executives who want to grow.

When did you realize you would close the chapter in the shipping industry?

When I reached the peak of my career, I realized something was missing. I had success, financial stability, recognition, but I didn’t have the deeper meaning I was seeking. Serving others had always motivated me, and I realized I wanted to work in a field that would have a direct and profound impact on people's lives.

 Was this an easy transition?

Not at all. I had to "rebuild" myself from scratch. I had to go back to school, study again, change roles and identity. It wasn’t just a career change; it was a personal transformation.

Tell us about the symbol of the butterfly, how does it represent you?

My symbol is the Blue Morpho, the largest butterfly in the world, in a vibrant blue color. I adopted it because, for me, it is the ultimate symbol of transformation. A creature that struggles within its dark cocoon, then emerges into the light as a beautiful, ethereal being. That’s how I perceive the process of personal growth. Change is neither simple nor painless, but it is necessary for us to evolve into the best version of ourselves.

What is the biggest challenge people face when they want to change?

The fear of the unknown. The insecurity of "what now?". But the truth is, when someone dares to step out of their cocoon, they will discover a strength they didn’t know they had and will evolve into a conscious, strong individual within society.

Is there a recipe for happiness?

Happiness is moments. It’s the ability to find joy in the present, to be grateful, to forgive, to accept and show compassion to yourself, and to develop healthy relationships. It’s not a destination, but an ongoing journey of evolution.

Your clients, as a Coach, are mostly high-profile individuals, such as politicians, entrepreneurs, executives, and celebrities. How does Coaching help them?

The truth is, I often collaborate with such individuals. The challenges and demands that come with public exposure, recognition, and success are significant. My role is to help fulfill their mission, help them manage the multiple roles they play, achieve and maintain performance, all while maintaining mental health, strength, and well-being. Recognition and success often bring out the shadow sides of human nature. Awareness and management of the dark side help the person remain balanced and allow their light to shine through.

You’ve worked with entrepreneurs operating in international environments. What are some of the unique challenges they face?

When an entrepreneur operates in an international environment, he or she is not only dealing with the pressure to succeed, but also with different cultures, expectations, and of course, the need to adapt to new circumstances. Now, I’m working with a Greek American entrepreneur who’s up to something significant in Greece, and one of his biggest challenges is balancing his own cultural background with the demands of the Greek reality. Managing the flow of information and energy is critical—and that’s precisely where Coaching comes in: among other things, to help establish boundaries that preserve the mental clarity needed to move forward.

The fact that you often accompany your clients on trips or during critical moments in their professional lives adds a very personalized dimension to the Coaching you offer. How does this affect the dynamic of your collaboration?

I don’t follow the typical structure of time and space in a session. My sessions usually last an hour and a half. Many times, I am physically present with my clients in real time, under conditions of pressure, during negotiations, or at key decision-making moments, where I can support them directly—not theoretically, but in practice. I also often hold sessions outdoors or in nature. All these differentiating elements are unique aspects of my work.

As we wrap up, is there a message you'd like to share with our readers?

Great things are never achieved without effort. The butterfly’s struggle to emerge from its cocoon is what strengthens its wings!

Beyond The View - The Structure Behind Seamless Living in Monaco

Beyond The View - The Structure Behind Seamless Living in Monaco

From the newest address in Monaco, the view from Mareterra is as striking as it is sought after. Yachts drift through the azure sweep of the Mediterranean. Morning light hits marble countertops. Somewhere in the background, a coffee machine hums quietly to life.

The children are getting ready for school. A nanny helps them with their shoes, guiding them toward the waiting lift. A housekeeper gives the living room one last glance, adjusting a curtain, polishing a surface, silencing the smallest trace of disorder. The private chef has already confirmed lunch preferences with the family office. On the terrace, everything glows with readiness.

This is the choreography of seamless living. And like all great performances, it only appears effortless.

The Quiet Architecture of Monaco Households

In Monaco, structure is more than good taste, it is a legal and cultural expectation. Behind every beautifully run residence is an intricate framework of registrations, declarations, and contributions, many of which were updated in 2024.

Monaco’s Caisses Sociales system governs how private employers declare and contribute on behalf of their household staff. It may not be visible from the terrace, but it is essential to sustaining the lifestyle it supports.

In January 2024, Monaco introduced the Caisse Monégasque de Retraite Complémentaire (CMRC), a fully domestic complementary pension scheme. Designed to simplify and centralise the retirement framework for private employees, the CMRC is now part of the mandatory structure for anyone employing nannies, housekeepers, butlers, chefs, or other private staff in the Principality.

Where Luxury Meets Compliance

Legal obligations are not a merely formality in Monaco, they are a reflection of professionalism, integrity, and long-term thinking. Employers are expected to register with the Caisse de Compensation des Services Sociaux (CCSS) and declare roles, salaries, and contracts for each staff member in full accordance with the Principality’s regulations.

The current legal minimum salary, revised in November 2024, is €2,007.72 per month for a full-time employee, based on a 39-hour workweek. Separately, the Caisses Sociales sets a declaration base of €1,507, which applies even to part-time or lower-paid roles for contribution purposes.

But in truth, those numbers are rarely reflective of the real Monaco market.

The Cost of Excellence

Domestic staff in Monaco are highly skilled professionals, many of whom have trained in international households, embassies, or royal residences. Their expectations, and the expectations of those who employ them, are equally high.

In practice, net hourly rates range from €15 to €30, depending on the role and the level of responsibility. These figures reflect the cost of attracting and retaining staff who offer discretion, consistency, and grace under pressure.

Families who compensate fairly enjoy stability and loyalty. Those who do not often find their staff quietly moving on to other households where their expertise is recognised.

What Family Offices Should Know

The responsibility of compliance often falls to the family office, the private accountant, or the Chief of Staff. Payroll declarations, working hours, contract terms, and changes in employment status must all be properly reported through the Caisses Sociales portal.

Beyond that, employers must carry insurance policies for workplace accidents, a non-negotiable requirement in Monaco that protects both employer and employee. While many overlook this step, the legal and reputational risks of not being covered are significant.

Transparency Without the Complexity

For many families, one of the greatest points of confusion is the difference between net and gross salary. Offers are often made in net terms, but the final gross cost, after contributions, bonuses, and insurance, can be significantly higher.

At Platinum Nanny Limited, we believe in clarity from the outset. Official calculators are available, and we help families and their advisors understand the real cost of staffing, so there are no surprises.

Operational Luxury: Managed With Intention

Hiring the right nanny or housekeeper is only the beginning. What follows is the creation of a household ecosystem that reflects the family’s values and needs.

This is why Platinum Nanny Limited also offers Chief of Staff and Virtual Executive Assistant services, designed to bring cohesion to households that span cities and time zones. Whether coordinating a relocation to Monaco or Dubai, overseeing staffing and HR for a newly acquired villa in Cap Ferrat, or setting up systems for a Monaco residence, we manage the details with precision and care.

We are available to our clients twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and are regularly called upon for tasks both large and small, from sourcing yacht insurance to managing administrative transitions or onboarding and training new household staff.

Luxury Is the Harmony of Detail

The quietest luxury is a home that runs with ease. Behind the marble, the stillness, and the sea views lies a structure designed with intention.

For families who value freedom, consistency, and peace of mind, managing a household team properly is more than good governance—it is what allows life to move effortlessly. When the right structure is in place and your team is supported, everything works as it should. And when questions arise, trusted guidance is always close at hand.

To learn more about how Platinum Nanny Limited can support your Monaco household, through recruitment, compliance guidance, or full operational oversight, please contact our team directly. We are here to help your household run as seamlessly behind the scenes as it appears on the surface.

How to Help Reduce Your Risk of Dementia: 6 Lifestyle Changes That Really Work

How to Help Reduce Your Risk of Dementia: 6 Lifestyle Changes That Really Work

Dementia is a growing concern worldwide, affecting millions of individuals and their families. In the UK alone there are currently just under 1 million people with dementia, with this number projected to increase to 153 million globally, by 2050.

While there is no guaranteed way to prevent Alzheimer’s disease (or other types of dementia), and with age being the biggest risk factor, research does suggest that by adopting a brain-healthy lifestyle we can help reduce the risk of cognitive decline in later life. This, in turn, will significantly help to reduce the likelihood of developing dementia or Alzheimer’s disease in the future.

Protecting your brain from cognitive decline can start early, and can be reinforced around the age of 35-40 when the hippocampus – a region of the brain responsible for learning and memory – starts to decline, as the brain starts to shrink. This is a natural progression of life, just as grey hair and wrinkles start to appear as we get older, the brain’s appearance also changes. It is however, never too late to start looking after your brain health.

At Brain Health Network, we’ve created a guiding framework of six pillars with some of the world’s leading academics including Professor James Goodwin, former chief scientific officer at Age UK and Director of Science and Research Impact at Brain Health Network. These six pillars help to put into practice healthy habits to live by everyday, with each working to strengthen the physiology of the brain. By adopting these habits, you can help keep cognitive decline at bay.
