Learn from Wagner Spadacio
The evening begins at 6pm with an exclusive interactive sushi masterclass led by Chef Wagner Spadacio at the sushi kitchen.
Guests will have the opportunity to work alongside the chef and learn how to prepare six signature pieces, including nigiri, hosomaki, uramaki and temaki.
This is a rare chance to experience the craft at close quarters — to ask questions, understand the techniques and gain a deeper appreciation of what happens behind the sushi counter.
The masterclass will be accompanied by Shichiken Namanama Saké, adding another layer of discovery to the experience.
From Masterclass to Omakase
At 7pm, guests take their seats for an exclusive five-course omakase dinner, continuing the evening's journey through Japanese cuisine.
Each course is carefully paired with a selection of Sliding Hill wines from New Zealand, creating an opportunity to discover how distinctive New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir interact with the flavours, textures and umami character of Japanese cuisine.
From the chef's sushi selection and rock shrimp tempura to smoked Chilean sea bass with yuzu miso, the menu offers a carefully curated progression of flavours.
